What to Eat in IVF Treatment

What to Eat in IVF Treatment

One of the most important factors that increase the success in IVF treatment is to be at the ideal weight. The chances of success in treatment of infertility decreases in those who are overweight. Those who are not at an ideal weight should see a dietician before starting IVF treatment.

You have to drink enough water every day. It’s a must! Many people are not aware that they are actually not drinking enough water and are in dehydration. Depending on the weight of the person, at least 10-12 glasses of water should be drunk a day. This amount is 1 liter more in summer. Drinking enough water dilutes the blood, increases blood flow to all organs and the uterus, and facilitates the removal of toxins from the body.

Foods Should Be Organic

All foods should be natural and organic. Vegetables and fruits should be fresh, various types and colors should be consumed, and there should be no one-sided nutrition. You can always find fresh and organic vegetables and fruits in Istanbul if you are going to stay in Istanbul. At least 5 portions of vegetables and fruits should be consumed a day. Meals waiting longer than 12 hours should not be consumed as they are not safe and healthy.

Protein-rich foods should be consumed. Especially animal proteins; Eggs, fish, lean red meat, milk and dairy products should be consumed. Patients who are vegetarian or who are not good with meat should concentrate on protein of vegetable origin and should definitely use vitamin drugs containing vitamins of animal origin.

Carbohydrates are also part of a healthy diet. Complex carbohydrates (foods with natural fiber) should be consumed from carbohydrates. In other words, fruits, whole grains and honey should be consumed.

Reduce the Caffeine!

The consumption of caffeine-containing foods like coffee, tea, carbonated drinks and chocolate, should be reduced. Bitter chocolate can be consumed and you can consume Turkish coffee in IVF treatment in Istanbul.
